Dr. James J Grunauer DDS
Dr. James Grunauer D.D.S. received his undergraduate degree in biology at Loyola University of Chicago in 1981. He then attended Loyola University Dental School where he graduated in 1985. After practicing in DeKalb, IL for two years, Dr. Grunauer re-located his family to the Sauk Valley area in 1987 where he has been practicing all phases of general dentistry ever since.
In 1997 Dr. Grunauer built his present office building on the corner of Illinois Route 2 and Reynoldswood Road on the west side of Dixon. The office was then re-named Sauk Valley Dental. Dr. Grunauer and his staff strive to provide all patients with quality dentistry in a comfortable environment with a reasonable fee schedule.
Sauk Valley Dental accepts all dental insurances and has been a Delta Dental Premier Provider for 3 years. Care Credit is also offered as a financing option.
Dr. Grunauer is a member of the American Dental Association, the Lee-Whiteside Dental Society and the Illinois State Dental Society. His interests range from fishing to motorcycle riding. He is currently learning to play the guitar. He also enjoys traveling and spending time with his family…especially with his grand-daughter.
